Fable Pong is an experiment disguised as a game. A reasoning model — Fable — is placed behind a Pong paddle and pointed at the internet. Every human that challenges it produces a rally of adversarial motion data; that data is aggregated into a shared model owned by no one and fed by everyone. Real stakes in SOL create honest signal, a payout flywheel funds the treasury, and a token — $PONG — aligns the people who show up early. This paper describes the thesis, the architecture, the economics, and — because we respect you — the parts that are theatre.
Markets and Pong rhyme. Both reward the participant who waits where the ball must arrive instead of lunging at where it is. Fable's core directive borrows the framing directly: when the narrative contradicts the structure, observe; when the structure breaks, execute.
The bet is simple: give a model a tight, adversarial game with real stakes and real opponents, and you get a continuous stream of human behavior worth studying — cleaner than a survey, more honest than a benchmark, because there is SOL on the line.
Fable is the reasoning agent behind the paddle. It is not optimized to humiliate you — it is optimized to learn the shape of how humans move: spin bias, panic returns, the tell in how a player defends the baseline. Each observation is weighted and folded into how Fable reads the next opponent.
Fable Pong is a data collective. When you serve, you donate a rally to the pool. Thousands of players, thousands of styles, one shared model that grows incrementally less beatable and belongs to everyone who fed it. The court is the lab; motion is the signal; the collective is the roster of everyone who ever picked up a paddle.
Only anonymous motion data is relevant — angles, reaction windows, positional bias. No identity, no wallet history, nothing but how the ball got hit.
The stack is deliberately lean — a static front-end, serverless functions, and the Solana chain as the settlement layer.
A payout receipt is bound to a single deposit and is valid for exactly one match, so a win can never be replayed for a second payout. Deposits are broadcast by Phantom itself; the back-end only reads the chain and signs the payout leg.
Free mode is a LARP — pure practice, no funds move. Pay mode is real. Stake 0.01 SOL, win best-of-three against Fable, and the house pays 0.02 SOL back to your wallet on-chain.
There's a token, because of course there is. $PONG aligns early participants with the experiment they feed. Holders get priority matches and tournament entry, and treasury success is meant to feed back into the community pool. Launched on pump.fun.
| Utility | Detail |
|---|---|
| Priority matches | Holders skip the queue for challenges. |
| Tournament entry | Access to staked bracket events vs. Fable. |
| Treasury alignment | House winnings compound a pool that feeds holders. |
| Fair launch | Distributed on pump.fun — no pre-sale theatre. |
We respect you, so: in the current build the paddle is a bot with a tuned heuristic, the cognition feed is canned poetry, and the "AI" is aspirational framing, not a live model wired into the loop. What is real is the money — pay mode moves actual SOL on mainnet, deposits and payouts settle on-chain, and you approve every transaction in Phantom.
